Friday, April 9 2004. In the middle of Santa Semana, the two week Easter celebration. This is the biggest holiday of the year in Mexico. At around noon, thousands converge at the the cathedral in Ajijic to enact the passion. The gates have just opened and the procession to the crucifixion begins. |
